What the future holds
As our kids grow too fast for me I have recently been wondering what each of my children will be like as they continue to grow and change. Our first daughter has always shown signs of being a teacher, she has an amazing way with younger kids and her patience is beyond her years.
Our second daughter is an artist threw and threw and what ever she does with the art she has within her heart will be greatness. Our third child and only son is overly athletic and coordinated with a heart as soft as I’ve ever seen. The sky is the limit for him and he has the confidence to do amazing things. Our fourth child and third daughter is one tough cookie, she loves deep and fights hard, she will be a force to recon with in anything she does.
Our fifth child and fourth daughter has an imagination way beyond her years and her ability to tell a story, true or false, at the drop of a hat is unbelievable. She cannot read yet but picks up a book, flips threw it and by just looking at the pictures she tells a story that more often than not is better than the words on the pages, and that is just the beginning for what she has in store for the world.
I am not planting any seeds within any of their brains, I’m not steering any of them in any direction other than whatever they choose…I’m just making note of what their current thoughts and actions are pointing too. It’s amazing to watch them grow and change as they do…I’m not looking forward to them ever leaving my day to day life but I am writing things like this so that I can sit down and read this when it’s too quiet in my kitchen or remind them of these times when they pick up the phone and call or stop by for a visit…that is just about enough of that nonsense because time is already ticking too fast.
My kids will all do amazing things and I am overly proud of them and thankful each day that I have such incredible people sharing this time with me and teaching me so much along the way!

The mark of a good mom is not to dominate and control, but to encourage and nudge a little when it’s needed. And always to love, unconditionally. You are a blessing to your children, Michelle, and they in turn will be blessings in other people’s lives. You’re doing good there, Humble Mom.
